Debut Solo Album ‘Magnesium’ by David Clayton

One of the most talented keyboard players of our time, David Clayton from Simply Red launched his debut solo album ‘Magnesium’ on Herisson Records (London, U.K). Nine brand-new piano and synth chill tracks are all created and performed by David. The final track, ‘Sherbet’ features the Simply Red sax player Ian Kirkham. ‘Magnesium’ is very different to David’s previous work and as described on the album cover really delivers an incandescence of peace.

David is currently working with Simply Red, and during an illustrious career has worked with many wonderful artists, including: George Michael, Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, Take That, U2, ABC, David Bowie, BobMarley, Paul Rutherford, and the Human League. As well as working on various solo projects, David has released albums of funk, jazz, and soul with his musical partner Marco Perry (Pressure Zone). Their latest album is ‘London Street Soul’. In addition, he is currently working on 3D spatial sound production with Immersive Audio Ltd. David has composed musical tracks for films, documentaries and television.

‘Magnesium’ is co-produced with his long-time friend and collaborator Jon Russell who mixed and mastered the album. It is released digitally and in a limited white vinyl edition hand-signed by the artist. It is available to stream on Spotify, Tidal and other music-streaming outlets. It can be purchased in High-Quality WAV files at www.herissonrecords.co.uk and in MP3 format from iTunes and Amazon.
